Discover A Happier Child

The Preschool program at Story Book Kids, Inc offers a wide variety of activities to engage your child and prepare him or her for kindergarten. Our focus areas in this program include problem-solving; responsive listening and using language to learn; and social and collaborative skills.

This theory provides an approach to nurturing and teaching children that focuses on individual needs and strengths. By providing a variety of experiences to foster each and every intelligence, children become more adept in all intelligences. Our teaching strategies are designed to maximize the full development of each individual child and recognizes how they learn different subjects in different ways, utilizing their intelligences.
  • Vocabulary Development: using language purposefully and precisely in thinking and communicating
  • Phonological awareness: hearing and manipulating groups of sounds (rhymes and syllables) in spoken language
  • Phonemic awareness: hearing, identifying, and manipulating single sounds in spoken words to recognize similarities and differences and how sounds relate to each other
  • Print awareness: understanding the meaning of written language
